About Us While F Bar Longhorns started purchasing Registered Texas Longhorns in 2007, the love with the Longhorn started a long time ago. As a child growing up in Texas, my family raised Texas Longhorns as a part time business in the 1980s under the name "Cripple Creek Cattle Company". This gave me a great opportunity to learn the outdoors and appreciate all that the country has to offer. In 2006, the F Bar Ranch was purchased in Burnet County near a small town named Oakalla. Oakalla is located in Central Texas centered between Lampasas, Briggs, Copperas Cove and Florence. This ranch is what I consider to be the third stage of Longhorn life (following a successful education at The University of Texas at Austin).
